With 7 teams vying for the last 4 spot, there were plenty of things to be decided.
On the first round of games: Cojones Locos kept their dream alive by winning their match 21-10 over Bocce-Ka-Bow-Wow. Joy and the Pussycats won by default against Revenge of WAH who decided to call it a night off by not showing up. The Segals etched their name in stone for third place by doubling up 16-8 Bocce Bartokomous and forcing the Bartokomous to win their last game of the season if they wanted a shot at defending their title.
The current champs took care of business by quickly dismantling Mumbling Skulls 21-0. Swim, Bike, Bocce also wanted another shot at the title and by winning their only game of the night versus Bocce Said She was 18 14-12 they wrote their ticket to the playoffs. And with two remaining spots open, What Up Biocce? claimed one of them by handing out a loss to License to Roll .
Bocce Said She Was 18 would still get one last chance at a playoff spot if they won their last game of the season against Joey and The Pussycats. They accomplish that by edging out the cats 17-13, a game that was a lot closer than the final score shows.
With all playoff spots taken, That’s How We Roll gave a mercy kill to Mumbling Skulls who in their one bright spot of the night (season?) was able to score a BOCCE in their last game of the season still losing 19-10 to the former. Finishing a perfect winless season.
On a game of former champs and nothing on the line but bragging rights Ball Bustahs defeated Team Schweddy 14-11. A hard fought battle of two teams in rebuilding years.
Last but not least the ladies of Meatballs gave it their best, but still came up short against Days of Thunder who are playoff-bound and with a good taste in their mouth by winning 20-10.
