With 2 weeks left to go: Bad news for some teams as they’ll have to wait til spring time for a reverse of fortunes. But by no means, it means things are settled, if anything they are just getting even more interesting, because there’s still plenty of bocce to be decided.
The leaders of the pack License to Roll won both of their games, by finishing 2 teams with winning streaks, first showing their might against the short-handed Meatballs 21-3, and later on by breaking the hot streak of That’s How We Roll 19-10. License to Roll is in such a groove that they are guaranteed at worst second place in the postseason.
That’s How We Roll won their match against Bocce Bartokomous 19-15 on the off-ramp, a game of back and forth that wasn’t decided til the last frame. The Bartokomous won their earlier bout against What Up Biocce? 20-7 and with the win, position themselves behind Bocce Said She was 18 in the standings, even though both team have same record, the latter has the head-to-head win to hold on to… Due to the fact that they split their night by winning their first game 20-13 against Mumbling Skulls but not able to hold on momentum and suffer a defeat at the hands of Revenge of Wah in a nail bitter 15-14. The Skulls are in such a rot you have to look all the way back to June 8th to find their last win and are currently the only team officially out of the playoffs.
Talking about teams in decline, Team Schweddy who started 4-1, have now lost 4 games in a row, their latest one against the Meatballs who borrowed a player from the Skulls to pull a win at the last second 11-10.
Cojones Loco in a seesaw night, split their night by winning their encounter with Revenge of Wah 18-8. Loco also needed clarification in the rulebook. When you throw from the white line you can go as forward as you can, as long as your heel (not your toe) is touching the white line.
The Ball Bustahs decided to throw their names into the playoff hat by winning both of their games, first disposing of Joey and The Pussycats 21-5 and putting another “21″ against the Cojones Loco 21-14. The team that started 1-4, reversed that by going 4-1. Even out their win-loss record and shadowing the idle Swim, Bike, Bocce for eight place. Swim, Bike, Bocce holds the head-to-head tie breaker in that match.
